So, what is Short Mat Bowls?

Type into Google “You Tube Short Mat Bowls BBC”. This will give you the basics, but to find out more come down to Old Village Hall the second Monday in the month, between 6.15 & 7.15pm. It won't cost you anything and we will teach you the fundamentals.What do I need? Some  form of indoor shoe that will not mark the green mats that we play on. Even slippers would be ok! All other equipment will be provided.

How much will it cost? Nothing to start. After a few weeks and you enjoy it, the cost is £3 a week and we play every Monday between 7.15 and 9.30pm. You may then wish to buy your own bowls or footwear but there is no hurry. Appropriate footwear will start at around £30. We also have a club membership fee of £10 per year.

What else do I need to know?

The game is harder than it looks but we are a friendly bunch, and we help each other! Also, if you are under 18 years we would wish to discuss with  your Parent / Guardian before commencing.
